4 Ill. GOP Candidates For Governor To Debate

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Two business groups are planning a debate for the four Republican gubernatorial candidates next week.

The Illinois Manufacturers' Association and the Valley Industrial Association will co-host the GOP debate the morning of Feb. 4 at the Naperville Marriott.

The debate will feature state senators Bill Brady and Kirk Dillard; the state treasurer, Dan Rutherford (ROO'-ther-ferd); and businessman Bruce Rauner (ROW'-ner).

Greg Baise (BAYZ') is CEO of the manufacturers' association. He says he is seeking from the candidates their "plans for repairing all that's been broken" in state government.

Cindy Tomei of the Valley Industrial Association says the state has success stories, but association members in Illinois' Fox Valley want more job creation and a strong, sustainable economy.
