Grant Closes Digital Divide

CHAMPAIGN--The City of Champaign is hoping to offer technology, to those who are under served.

A $16,000 grant will help more than six local non-profits close the digital divide.

Here is a list of the local non-profits that will receive a portion of the grant.

The money will be used to improve public computing centers and provide education and training.

The city received the grant from Comcast, as a part of the cable franchise renewal in 2011.
