Illini Duo Get Big Ten Honors
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois quarterback Juice Williams and linebacker Brit Miller played big in the Illini's 45-20 road win over Michigan Saturday, earning some recognition from the Big Ten.
Williams is the conference's offensive player of the week after setting a new Michigan Stadium record with 431 combined yards for the Illini. Williams threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns, and he ran for another 121 yards with two more touchdowns.
Miller, meanwhile, is the Big Ten defensive player of the week. He had two sacks, four tackles for losses and broke up two passes.
Running back Rashard Mendenhall and lineman Will Davis were the last pair of Illini players to win Big Ten honors in the same week. That was last September after a win over Indiana.
