Illini Improve to 11-0. Beat Norfolk State 64-54.

For the second consecutive Tuesday, Illinois Men's basketball was taken to the brink by an unlikely foe, as Norfolk State refusing to go away in the Illini's 64-54 victory.
The Illini shooting touch was not there, shooting just 21-60 from the field, including 6-23 from three point range. The Illini also missed 11 free throws, but found a way to win.
Brandon Paul leading Illinois with a game high 14 points, DJ Richardson, who left the game in the first half after getting hit in the head, was the only other Illini in double figures with 11.
Illinois next takes the floor Sunday afternoon against Eastern Kentucky. A win over EKU would tie John Groce with Fletcher Lane as the best start to an Illini coaching career, at 12-0.
