"AMERICAN IDOL" - HOLLYWOOD WEEK
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- For the hundreds of contestants who the judges told "you're going to Hollywood," the fun starts tonight. And the pressure. It's Hollywood Week on "American Idol." About 300 singers got golden tickets. We'll see how long they last. The Idol website has a list of everyone who made it, along with short interviews.
VIRUS SPREADS THROUGH HOLLYWOOD WEEK
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- "American Idol's" Hollywood Week is going to be more dramatic than usual, because more contestants were sick than usual. Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe says Amy Brumfield, the one known as "Tent Girl," brought a virus that spread among the contestants. He saw one contestant's eyes roll in the back of her head just before she fell off the stage. He says the contestants were dropping like flies -- and he attributes that to "stupidity or dehydration." He says many contestants either failed to drink enough water or were pounding too many energy drinks.

SIMON COWELL - PAULA UNDERSTANDS IT'S JUST BUSINESS
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Simon Cowell says Paula Abdul understands why she had to leave "The X Factor." He tells "Extra," "she understands it's business; it's never personal." He also doesn't think Nicole Scherzinhger is mad, though he says she's probably "disappointed." Cowell admits he shouldn't have opened his "big mouth" to brag that the show would be watched by 20 million people. He says if he hadn't done that, "everybody would be saying the show as a huge success."
SHERRI SHEPHERD - IF YOU'RE GONNA TRY ON CLOTHES, PUT THEM BACK ON THE RACK!!!!
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- And now, this request from Sherri Shepherd: If you're gonna try on clothes at the store, put them back on the rack!!! Shepherd has never gotten over her job working in the fitting room at a Marshalls store. She says she can't understand how a woman can bring 12 items into the fitting room and then "leave them on the floor like you were raised in a cave." She says every time she goes in a fitting room to this day she picks up clothes and puts them back on hangers. Shepherd currently co-stars in "One for the Money" as well as appearing on "The View."

"BIG MIRACLE" - JOHN KRASINSKI
NEW YORK (AP) -- John Krasinski is amazed by how life-like the animatronic whales are in "Big Miracle." He says he didn't believe for a second that they were robots. Usually, he says, an actor gets only a tennis ball on a stick to look at and the whale would be added later with a computer. He says that doesn't help when he's trying to "say goodbye to a tennis ball."
