says part of the reason she's an outstanding student is because she does her
homework even when she doesn't want to.
Her
good work ethic and her love of music are just a couple of reasons this week's
Making the Grade award winner is fifth grader Joanie Urban.
Joanie
goes to Southside Elementary in Champaign
and is an exceptional musician and gifted singer.
She
plays with her church, in music class and in the school's world music ensemble.
And
she plays the alto saxophone and the piano.
