IN THE KITCHEN

Ingredients
1 c. cooked chickpeas or canned
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cloves garlic
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 tbsp sesame paste (tahini)
1/2 tsp ground cumin
chopped parsley and tomato for garnish
olive oil for garnish
Directions
Beat chickpeas in a food processor.
Blend chickpeas with the sesame paste, lemon juice, crushed garlic, and salt into a puree. Adjust flavor and consistency with lemon juice and salt, if necessary.
Hummus should be thick and smooth.
Serve in hummus bowls.
Pour olive oil in the middle and garnish with chopped parsley, tomato and cumin.
