GOLDEN APPLE AWARD
Ms. Levin was overwhelmed when she was awarded the Golden Apple. She teaches second grade at Oakwood Grade School. She's been teaching for 12 years but got into the profession late in life.
"I actually worked in a foundry. When General Motors closed it sent me back to school. My family's loaded with teachers. And so I said, 'Maybe mom's right. Maybe i should be a teacher.' And I absolutely, positively love my job and these kids," says Ms. Levin.
Congratulations to Ms. Levin and to all our fabulous teachers who won the Golden Apple Award this week.
