That's according to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
A sad reality, abuse or neglect took 90 children.
Recently, another 60 child deaths were reported, those are still under investigation.
Experts said, 90 is quite the alarming number, considering the previous two years combined had 90 deaths.
With the other 60 recently reported, that will put us at an all time high.
The last time Illinois saw over 100 child deaths, was back in the late 1980s.
